BIG SKY CITY LIGHTS
MODERN FOLK/POP DUO
With a fresh and modern sound infused with classic elements of folk, country, and pop, BIG SKY CITY LIGHTS creates an imaginary musical "locale" halfway between the spacious sky-filled landscapes of Montana -- home to singer-songwriter-guitarist Nick Spear -- and the urban cityscapes of New York where singer-songwriter Susan O'Dea resides. Performing both lush original music and creatively-arranged covers, they evoke wide-ranging comparisons to intimate duos like Simon & Garfunkel and The Civil Wars as well as powerhouse vocalists like Ann Wilson and Brandi Carlile. Their special brand of stripped-down contemporary folk-pop landed BIG SKY CITY LIGHTS a feature on Good Morning America and coveted spots at major music festivals, including Sisters Folk Festival and Under The Big Sky Festival on the bill with Jason Isbell, Emmylou Harris, and others.
